About The Spink Walk '13 Organisers

Emma Gabbertas and Sabina Middleton organised the Spink Walk held in October 2013 to raise funds for the Spink Family Trust.

Emma and Sabina are classmates of Henrietta Spink from St. Leonard's-Mayfield School, Class of 1980. 

Emma says "Heni and I lost touch after we left Mayfield but it was when I was organising a school reunion that we started emailing each other and re-connected.  Heni and Michael clearly adore their boys but their situation is really very desperate and when Aideen suggested this fundraising sporting day, I jumped at the chance to help. "

Sabina says "As I live nearby and seem to spend my life dog walking or, indeed, looking for the dog, I felt I could help by planning the walk. It is glorious countryside around here with wonderful views wherever you turn. We can walk for miles with very little of it on the road, so it is a pleasure to share it and hopefully do some good at the same time."

The Spink Walk '13 saw numerous 'old girls' get out their walking shoes, enjoy a ramble through the wonderful Sussex countryside and, with friends and family of Michael and Heni, raise £6,936 for the Spink Family. A job well done indeed!
